The article I chose is an article written by Walter Benjamin called The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction, which focuses on the development and changes of artistic works from the perspective of historical development, including handmade works of art, architecture including photography and other works related to vision. Besides economic, political and cultural factors, the reasons behind the change of art include the change of artistic concept in society. Since the invention of lithography, artworks have gained a way to publicize, and this beginning has become a sign that artworks can be reproduced. Although contemporary artworks will be re-engraved constantly, the uniqueness of each nascent artwork only reflects an era. When we face our era, we should also consider the particularity of time and space when creating artworks.
